Jim Miles

Jim Miles is best known for playing John the Beloved in the live touring production of “The Thorn.” Seen by over 1,000,000 people, Jim has anchored the performance for 18 years with nearly 100% of the spoken lines in the show. He is part comedian, part heart-felt actor, part pastor. Jim is a versatile actor also playing the roles of Peter and Doubting Thomas.

Jim played the role of John the Beloved in the feature film release version of “The Thorn” (2023.) It was critically acclaimed receiving a 93% on both Rotten Tomatoes and Fandago. 

Jim received his Master’s Degree in history at the University of Charleston in Charleston, SC. He soon found his true love was in storytelling and acting.
Although enjoying success on both stage and film, Jim describes himself, not primarily as an actor, but as a storyteller. With wife, Jenny, and four children, they are loving life in their home of Austin, TX, where Jim owns a company dedicated to storytelling, Tour ATX.
